Haha Awesome Hawaiian New Years!

Basenji Talk
  • Sooo I learned last night that New Years in Hawaii is BIGGER than the Professional fireworks on the 4th of july where im from (ohio) All illegal of course, but the cops here let it go for new years. It was HUGE!! Maverick was Adorable, all he wanted to do was "protect" Aiden from the loud pops and lights. He was just darling. The two of them settled quickly and watched the works with the family! Maverick even had his own (small) steak daddy grilled! He liked stomping his own poppers too lol. It was AWESOME! We all had a blast! Hope your New Years was as Fun!!!! And may 2010 bring Happiness and joy to all!!! Barroos and Hugs

That good news, Dennis - and you are likely to find, in the long run, that the older boy will teach the pups far more than you ever can. They'll get their street cred from him !

Thanks for your replies. I've started giving Sonia Glucosamine w/ MSM every day and we'll see how she does. I'll give you an update in about a month and let you know if it's helped or not.

The only thing I would be concerned about with a Dachshund would be the possiblity of it having some back damage with the rough play of a basenji…or even trying to do the same acrobatics that Bs do. I have known some folks who had a lot of problems with disk and spine problems with Doxies...but I don't know if that is typical. Something to think about though...
