I guess for some people he is too large for a Chi and not quite a Basenji-too small as he weighs 15 lbs. He is estimated to be 5 years old. If you know someone who might be interested in him or a rescue group that could take him, please forward the information.

"CODY" needs a second chance. He is a male, Chihuahua / Basenji Mix. He has been at the Van Nuys shelter since OCTOBER 15, 2011. Because "CODY" has been at the shelter so long he is running out of time. Due to the shelter running over capacity he will be euthanized soon if he does not get adopted. Please if you are looking for a dog consider adopting "CODY" and giving him a second chance. He is at the East Valley Shelter in Van Nuys. Yes, I sent an e-mail to Lori who handles the Basenji mixes and she sent an e-mail to the rescue. I did not see him listed under the Basenji mixes on the BRAT webpage though when I looked last week. Perhaps the rescue did not want to list him there.

I would like him to at least go to a foster home.

I would be inclined to say this dog is part American Eskimo dog, part something brownish/brindle.

He's really really cute
