BCOA National?

Just wondering who is planning, or trying to plan, to be at the BCOA Nationals in Colorado this year.

I am hoping to attend, it will be my first national.
I have applied for membership with BCOA and am awaiting my official acceptance.

I am thinking about going, depends on my work schedule since the Nationals always seem to fall when I need to be at the office.

We *might go….I don't know...Ethan is going to be starting first grade, and I haven't figured out a way to make everything work...plus the dreaded expense ;)

Does anyone know if a local club is going to have a specialty right before the national this year like the Hoosier specialty last year?

There isn't anything on the BCOA site regarding a specialty at this years national. I think it was just coincidence/good planning that the national was held in KY last year (as they rotate the nationals location annualy by region) so that it would cluster with the Hoosier specialty which is held in KY at that time of year annually.

It wouldn't have to necessarily be at the same location, even if they had a supported entry at another show nearby that could pull majors. I only saw the 2009 calendar on the BCOA site. But I just looked in the Bulletin Board and it didn't have one listed. Our club doesn't normally have a specialty around that time of year, but we're having one in 2011 to coincide with national in WI.

Unfortunately that is the case with me also. Everything is so time consuming and I really wanted to go, but this year is out for me. Maybe next year!!

The Illusion kids will be there! (well, 4 of them anyway) Arriving Sept. 2, in the RV.

Can't wait! It will be my first National, very excited to meet all the friends my dogs have acquired for me :)
