What a pretty girl! Her head/ears/face & wrinkles are Basenji-looking while her coloring & build suggest some Malanois blood–that would account for her size & aloofness, too. Our local SPCA does genetic testing as a fund-raising thing, if you're really curious you could try something like that...
You go sleep in the dog bed..I'm fine where I am!!

is there any doubt who's in control around here!
-
Oh heck, if you only have one basenji in your bed, there should be plenty of room for a human.

Ha, ha, ha - SOOOO true. Add another and the balance definitely shifts, add a 3rd and you might as well just sleep on the floor. LOL

Awwww, how sweet. Basenjis are wonderful foot warmers when they are under the covers at the bottom of the bed, but when they hog the pillow? Time to slide them down!

LOL, good one! Does he like to have a mint on his, I mean your pillow when he goes to bed too? My last 2 gave me a whole 12" next to the edge in a queen size. "Suck the gut in Pop you'll be fine". I now put Buddy's little bed on one side so he can't push at me all night towards the edge.

Just when I think he's in a dead sleep under the covers and I'll get up then come right back and he's on the pillow…happens every time...sneaky little critter :p

Too funny.
For some reason my B does not care to be under the covers. Instead he'll sometimes wedge his lower half under my pillow. Because that just makes a whole lot more sense. I don't even know how he does that without waking me.

Both my pups have their "place" in the bed. Bandit on the left, head down, and Hunter waaayyyy down on the right.
Even on hot Summer nights it's the same position!
