Question for Borbasuk/Jisgard/Moetmum

Basenji Meetups & Events
  • We had a lot of rain yesterday but today it has stayed dry, although I was convinced it was going to rain, the weather forecast never seems very accurate at the moment, its so changeable. The BBC are forecasting heavy rain tomorrow.

I will be at the Hound Show with my two, and am taking the caravan to The New Forest next week. Please pray that it stays dry this week because its the New Forest Show and if it rains the ground will be like a quagmire for us!!

  • Sunshine and showers the last few days. Some 'proper' rain forecast for tomorrow. No mud at Brockenhurst yet!

  • Will pack the Wellies and tilly's waxed jacket just in case.

  • Well, im not right down south, just Gloucestershire but it has been very very heavy rain all morning here. Good luck for braving all the mud :D

  • @Elscodobermann:

Will pack the Wellies and tilly's waxed jacket just in case.

You might well need them, heavy rain expected by this afternoon!

  • Lovely! i have just found out that our Glasgow office is under threat of closure (a week after getting promotion!), so might have to start some job hunting - not an ideal time to be going on a weeks holiday..

  • Oh no, maybe you will be alright if it only under threat? Fingers crossed

  • The Sun is shinning at the moment, but a band of rain is forecast tonight and another one on Saturday. All I really can say is it is very changeable which is probably as accurate as the Met Office!

It always seems to rain on a Tuesday evening when we go to ringcraft and matches. (We were Best Puppy in match yesterday!)

Sorry to hear about your work uncertainties.

    Steve.

  • Well done Steve and Poppy, there is no stopping you.

It is still dry here at the moment, I will let you know when it arrives it will probably reach us first! According to the news this lunchtime the barbecue summer they predicted was not accurate, really I hadn't noticed, the reviewed forecast is unsettled for the next few weeks.

So sorry to hear this Scott, I know the feeling too well and it's not a good one.

Thanks! I just joined had no idea about it. I drove for 5 hours to go meet with some basenjis to see if i would have an allergic reaction. Wish i knew about this place before haha. Unfortunately i missed todays meetup, count on me to be there next month!. Do i have to sign up anywhere? Do you email me where to go or will it be on that website?

She looks great.. and Chealsie… don't worry about fencing when coursing... I have never seen a Basenji become that unsighted that they take off..... they might get lost, but for practice, they keep it just about under their noses....

This is the lovely picture of basenji silence after a day at the dog park. [image: atthepark.jpg] We had a great meet! Anne and Don brought their 3 ( Nikki- tri fem, Topper- black male, and Eddie- tri male). Beth brought her 2 (Bella-tri fem and Frank- red male), a new couple brought their 3 (newborn baby, Eshi - red fem, and a 5yr old german shepard named Molly just introduced to the family,) and I had my two (Caesar- red male, and Cairo - brindle male). We also met out of the blue, a couple who had adopted a brindle female that was named Dreammaker. She was very timid, but had fun meeting the pack. There were crazy basenji runs, squirell chases and the normal chaos and fun that comes with a pack! We had a great time. Hopefully pictures will follow.
