    Good luck with the teeth…. I try to brush Ayos very once in a awhile but I don't think I have ever been able to actually clean them. And the ones in the back forget it. I keep trying though but he will not stop chewing the brush!!! I think I will have to take him to get them cleaned at the vet, even though I really don't want them to give him a sedative, I am worried about his teeth! .. Hope you have better luck!! Or a good tecnique!

    I know how that goes. It will take awhile for Rally to earn her VLCM. She is going pretty much going 8 points at a time. It took Rally and Nicky longer to earn their VFCh than their FCh titles because they are the only 2 vets running at most events. outlook add ins

    Shelley, You are right, the motivation "has" to be there, or it probably won't work. This is the first time I have taken OC with any of my dogs so I am sceptical, but highly motivated…my B will get this done.. My westie, Bogus never even learned how to crate properly...he kept on pooping in the crate and then sleep in it...nothing bothered him, noot even stinking like a dog pile. The crate I used for him was actually so small, after a lot of trials and errors and he still pooped..that is when we gave up. He did great with puppy pads..for peeing, not for pooping, that he did right next to the pad, like it wasn't supposed to get dirty or something..silly dog. He is not with us anymore, he just passed in late march.

    Hi All, Would love to brag about my Rocky,UKC Champion Kiroja Chicago Hood at Jaroufa,SGRC,ORC He got 5 pts over the week-end at the PHAST NOTRA meet and is currently #1 NOTRA Basenji for the year with 19.5 pts. In two weeks we go to regain his #1 spot in LGRA.I'm trying to make him the first basenji in history to hold the #1 spot in both LGRA/NOTRA. Rocky is a SUPERDOG! Lightning fast and a momma's boy.     But then I recommend that all be muzzled when running. I never used to.. but over the years of coursing have totally changed my mind. But not because dogs might be nasty… If you start out your dogs with a muzzle, they begin to associate the muzzle with coursing and know when that goes on they are going to "chase" the bunny. I would prefer that it was "required" for all hounds to run muzzled like it is for Oval/Straight line.

    In general, they leave them alone. It is when they have to wait in the boxes because of some delay that they usually get bored enough to try to get them off. In that race there was one basenji that had no box training and really fought the boxes which delayed the race long enough for Levi to wrestle his muzzle off. I do have one basenji who fusses with her muzzle during a race but she is getting better about it and actually won 2 races this weekend even with the fussing. We are going to take the suggestion of a Visla owner and start giving her canned cheese when she wears the muzzle and doesn't fuss to reinforce the muzzle is a good thing. The fuzzy lure was a huge reinforcement but she has some negative associations with the muzzle that we have to work on overcoming.
