  • @bellabasenji:

    I LOVE the tunnel picture!!!:D

I don't really understand what is going on in that picture but it is funny. Are we looking down at them from above? The puppy's head right under the mother's front leg is really hilarious.

  • no, I have been laying in front of the tunnel and photographed right into it…. ;-)

    Regards,
    Esther

  • Those pics are priceless…

  • @soulmate:

THEY have the fun with the ball bath. I do have to wash the balls every day (all of them) because the puppies think its fun to poop and pee in there  well, it's puppies….:D

Our puppies always INSISTED on pooping on my son's toy train set! Something called to them that it was THE place to poop! I don't know how many times I ran those tracks thru the dishwasher!

  • wow, I can imagine a "Maerklin" Train in the Dishwasher…..

The 200 plastic balls do not fit in the dishwasher and are not "thick" enough for that (I guess, the plastic is quite thin and you can squeeze them without any strength). So they go into a plastic dirty clothes basket and take nice showers.... ;-)

Maybe it would be a good idea to establish a puppy toilet with those balls or even with your train-sets?

    Regards,
    Esther

  • Puppies have completed their 8th week now. They have their ID-Chip and the first vaccinations. They are somehow potty-trained, are used to eat regular puppy-food meals, and listen to their names.

Two of them are moving out next weekend.

    New pictures in our gallery.

  • Just adorable! They are so, so cute! I love your pictures…

  • The puppies have moved out in their new homes during the last two weekends. All have arrived safely in their new families and manage the new situation perfectly. It is getting calm here, but I have to admit, I kept one of the Mini-Tornados, yes, it is true. Out of the first litter, mostly one is a keeper…. ;-)

  • Congrats on a such a successful A wurf! Im sure its hard to see all the babies go..

  • They are really growing up fast, and so beautifully!

@senjisilly just now saw your reply. Thanks for the pedigree website. I knew about it and it’s a great resource.

@tanza I don't believe there was a limit to the number of letters, though I wasn't paying much attention to whether the field stopped me from continuing. Tanza is nice! I was actually surprised no one has claimed the name :D

@tanza I'm definitely attending the next show as a recon trip. Not sure how the work here but if they're similarly easy to enter as the ones in the US, I do want to show Roux! LOL that's a hilarious saying; I absolutely appreciate a smart lady over cluelessness haha :face_with_tongue:

@zande - So true Zande, the test is 65.00 and considering the heartbreak and cost of caring for a Fanconi Basenji (try shoving down 20+ pills a day) it is something that anyone breeding, even Back Yard Breeders or Puppymills should always do... Also if someone happens to get a puppy or is unsure about the breeder they did get a Basenji puppy from, spend the 65.00 and have the DNA Fanconi test done... again it is a cheek swab that you order from OFA.org

@lindenbaum I've long forgotten about this thread. If I am remembering correctly, I left it up so that people could read the flags that it may be a puppy mill and be able to make their own decision regarding that. I am deliberately wording that as "... may be... " because I do not have any personal interaction with "HH" and therefore cannot speak to it. (please note that I removed your "HH available breeds" list, no offense)
