  • Hi all,

My name is Karin Shah. I live in Columbus, Ohio. I have a husband, two kids (a girl and a boy, aged three and a half and eighteen months) and two basenjis, "Sky" Klassic Red Sky at Night, a red and white ten year-old female, and "Banner" Ch. Klassic's Red White and Baroo, an eight year old male. I belong to the basenji-L, BRAT, BBR, and the basenji-show L. It's nice to see some familiar names here! :)

Welcome Bryan. My husband and I met you last year at the EBC Specialty (my husband uses a wheelchair). At that time, we were basenji-less. We now have Kipawa, our 11 month old companion dog, that we were able to get from Therese and Kevin Leimback. He's our pride and joy. :)

That was a great story. My 12 year old Welsh Corgi did the same thing a couple of years ago. The vet watched her but she wasn't sick. Didn't learn from experience either - thankfully I did. I just recently "rescued" a Basenji from a puppy mill. Her name is Glory - my 6 year old Granddaughter really liked the name. Glory is wonderful but I have never seen a puppy clutter up a room as fast as she can. My 4 year old Corgi hides under the computer desk when Glory goes on one of her "rampages."
