Any tips for alleviating pain & discomfort caused by teething. I got a chili bone, a cloth bone you wet & then freeze, but Lola seems disinterested. She doesn't seem overly bothered, but I know she isn't terribly comfortable either.
YES !!! there are loads of Basenjis in Melbourne ! I judged there a few years ago and met scads. Email me privately and I will put you in touch with some people who will be able to advise you. But your breeder should be able to help too. Let me know the registered name of your dog and I will know who bred him.
If your dog does not lose weight after cutting back on the food, have a complete thyroid test done. Do not cut back the food drastically but slowly week by week. I have used plain canned pumpkin as a filler. My three dogs get no more than 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups but they are on different foods.

I will wait, for a few more weeks, I am going to take him in to have id chip installed and will discuss with my vet. I gues I am just looking forward to have that part of puppy-hood behind us. He is a very normal basenji!!!
