    meekas BRAT dog tag and rabies tag discolor her white fur on her neck(esp. notice when wet). Its not like the color of the tag is doing it, but the metal of the tag.. if that makes sense.. anyone have any suggestions on what i can do?? anyone else have this problem??

    Note that in my pups/Basenjis I have never seen this, so a picture of what you are referring to would be helpful

    Well, the lab I mentioned (chocolate overweight one) almost took me out by slamming into my knee. I commented loudly " he better not insure my knee!" No comment from the owner. Others were keeping an eye on this over exhuberant dog too. Many peeps were standing behind a bench for protection. What really bugs me is that the park has very visible signs when you enter it that say you must have control of your dog.

    @saralars: This is off the subject of crate escape… I was told growing up that turkey and chicken bones were very dangerous for dogs. Are Basenjis different in this way too? Or am I missing something... Raw, uncooked bones are fine for any dog, not just Basenjis… it is "cooked" bones that are the problems

    HOW CUTE!!! I love the one ear up & one down…I wish mine could do that!! Definitely something senji about this little guy but rest assured he's 100% CUTE

    OMG yes thank you so much. its going to be hard to leave my poor jackers…all cooped up in a crate...tear
