Dog tag question..

    meekas BRAT dog tag and rabies tag discolor her white fur on her neck(esp. notice when wet). Its not like the color of the tag is doing it, but the metal of the tag.. if that makes sense.. anyone have any suggestions on what i can do?? anyone else have this problem??

    Note that in my pups/Basenjis I have never seen this, so a picture of what you are referring to would be helpful

    In my experience, the back leg quivering is normal for older/elderly dogs. I have found that it will get worse as the dog get older. If more neurological symptoms appear or if they are affecting his gait/movement, I suggest taking him to a neurologist for a thorough exam. Jennifer

    Fran, I do know tags do wear out, but these look good to me. So, give them a try and lets compare info. I don't leave anything on my dogs when they are home, but put the tags on the collars/harness when we travel. Course, the b's are micro chipped. But with Wheat, looking so "unique" I don't want someone to think she is a wild dog.. I put on mine, REWARD on one side, my phone number on the second side and the word microchipped. They say put the dogs name on the tag, but as we switch collars/harness so much, doesn't seem important.

    No I haven't and I need to… I have taken some great ones of her lounging in the sunshine. She loves taking in those rays....

    On tv this morning they showed some dogs that were to be adopted at Petsmart from the Humane Society. One of them they said was a basenji/terrier mix. That dog was huge and he didn't look anything like a basenji to me. No batwing ears but the tail was curled.
