**How To Give A Dog A Pill

    1. Wrap it in bacon.

    2. Toss it in the air or hand to dog**

  • lol. That is so hilarious! :p

  • Giving a pil to Medjai is more like the cat than the dog. He finds it and spits it out. If I even coat in pb, he licks it off then spits out the pill.

Heartworm meds are hard to give because i can't afford to just go through 4 or 5 trying to get them in.

Ours used to pretend to swallow them, then later you would find them in his crate.

  • That was very funny!:D :D :D

  • LOL…sooo funny and sooo true...giving cats medicine is a PITA! I also used to petsit for a diabetic cat and can't tell you how many times I got the insulin shot and not the cat.

  • I do wild life rehab, that sound like all the little critters lol

  • I can't tell you how many pills I've wasted trying to get Senji to take his pills. Even when I hide them in a ball of ground up meat and mix it in with his food, he SMELLS the pill in there and eats everything around it, but leaves the balls with the pills in them. Sometimes I make a few "decoy" balls to try to fool him, but he knows the difference.

Visits are a great idea. In the past year I have been staying at my familys farm wich has plenty of room but I added another dog and my Mother got another dog for a total of 4. Not bad since two are tiny ones, lol. But it took a bit to learn to b a good pack. I am not sure how cats mix with the dogs but I'm sure visits won't hurt any. Good Luck :)

At one time, when my Eski was still alive, I thought about this. I decided I didn't want to actually DO the spinning, but thought about doing the gathering and sending it to be spun by someone, then making something out of the yarn. Never did it though….sort of wish I had....he was so SOFT, and warm too...

It was traumatic, but something I can look back on & laugh at. I guess those $.10 crickets looked like poo on a plate compared to a young, tender $45 morsel.
