Yes my pups doing well , to date I have taken 3 deer off my boys and having trouble posting pics. Les is developing into a nice dog so much so that I got feedback for the dog groomer down the road who just happens to be a credited show judge that he is the best basenji she has seem . This put the lady she told nose out of joint as her dogs who were being groomed at the time both have Australian titles. He has impressed all that have seem him in the field as he works just like my Wei . They are truly two peas in a pod . The other day I introduced my Wei to water not to be outdone little Les followed him in swam the river and showed that he is a better swimmer than the Wei . I just may have one hell of a dog on my hands.
Hello from New Mexico

Hie all I'm from New Mexico. I currently have two basenji neutered males named George and Ice Man. I lost my female (their mother) this past weekend at the ripe old age of nearly 17. She was born Dec 19th, 1991 and passed away last Friday Oct 12th, 2007. George and Ice Man are both almost 15 having been born Dec 13th, 1993 and both are still healthy and going strong at the moment. however I know here in the next few years I'm going to be without them and I'm starting to look for a young one to bring in.

Welcome to the forum. You'll love it, it is a lot of fun. Have you looked into BRAT or Petfinder for your next baby? We are trying to adopt through Brat right now….great people !!!

Sorry to hear about the female. Good luck in acquiring another pup!

I know all abot BRAT, but I'm not ready just quite yet to get one mroe I'm just kind of "looking" at the moment if you know what I mean.
George and Ice Man may not be able to handle a bouncy younger one at the moment. With both of them being 15, they are old and slow and set in their ways.

Wouldn't that be nearly "16"?….. I only say that cause I have two that just turned 16 and they were born 8-27-91 and 9-9-91

I lost my first basenji female last year after 16 years very hard. I now have 2 a female and a male. Its been fun they are both from the same litter and my son got a male at the sametime.
