@iris-shuman said in I would like you to meet "The 'Marvel'-ous Prince T'Challah" a/k/a Prince: Iris was born in December too Not much of a surprise when you think about it ! Basenjis in the Northern Hemisphere come in to season through September/October/November and whelp their litters November/December/January. A great many litters' arrivals cause the turkey to be put back in the oven on Christmas Day while the puppies are delivered ! Decrease the size of the photo and you will be able to show Iris to all of us. And do as Tanza suggests to Daureen - get her Fanconi tested.

So pretty and unique; glad that you ended up getting him and hopefully he never has to find a new home again…moving and being displaced really can mess with a dog (or anyone for that matter)...hope you have many years of great fun and mischief.

Lela has always howled like a little wolf, but her full blown yodel is pretty recent ( she is 2,5 y. now). Usually when she feels left alone or doesn't see us. Binti (3,5 y.) howls a bit too, but less than Lela - she screams much more (at cats). She also has a deep humming sound, not unlike a small outboard engine that is not quite running properly. We hear that a lot when preparing her meals. We hear from other owners that every individual has a different repertoire.

Yeah, he loves to chew. Right now it's defluffing tennis balls and cracking them open that entertains him. And chewing on sticks. I do have a kong he loves. High quality treats like pigs ears and such wouldn't do well here as there would be fights over them by all the dogs here, even if I gave each one one, they always want that which another dog has. I do have a few nylabones but he isn't too interested in them at the moment.

I'm up in the Northeast & it cost me about $400 with meds & follow up visits for our spay & neuter. I don't blame you for looking for a better option even if it means a longer drive. I think it's better to be safe then sorry! Will you visit Oba/Sheba again in the next 3weeks? I think it would make for a good adjustment once she comes home permanently. Baroo can also spend some time getting to know her better she gets home. She certainly is a real beauty :) I can see why you want her so badly! I'm glad her foster mom was able to hang on to her a little while longer.
