I would say that if one had planned to get a pup before this all occurred, then perhaps it would be good timing, as it would give one the opportunity of spending more time with the pup in the crucial early days. Of course things will change and the routine will be different, but there are ways to ease into the new schedule so it isn't an abrupt shift from always being there to suddenly being absent.

Hello all,
So me and my partner are looking to buy a Basenji pup,
We're looking to get on a waiting list as I understand females do not go into heat until November-ish, but we're struggling to find breeders!Does anyone on this forum know of any UK based breeders // are a UK based breeder?

Cast your hunt for a Basenji further then the UK. I lived in Hawaii and could not find one on the mainland so we found our basenji in NZ. Cost was $2,000 a lot of it was the air shipping cost. He was well worth it.

@morsesa - Your post for price is way out of date... both for the pup and travel. Please update before posting. Thanks
