    We live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and have been looking to add a member to our family. The breeder I visited and selected will not have any puppies available until 2022... it is way too long for us to wait! I am ready to travel to go and meet a breeder that will have puppies available this year or beginning of next year. We have done all appropriate research and are very serious about having a Basenji in our caring and loving family. Thank you for any help that can be provided.

    Hi Genny,
    Try Teri Cuzzetto of Takari's Basenjis. She's in Gresham, Oregon and last I heard still has a R & W boy left from her litters. She's on FB if you want to see photos.
    She's a reputable breeder and her lines consist of champion show dogs.
    Let her know Helen referred you and good luck!

    Also from that region, Jumoke Basenji, Bryan and Laurie Gregory - he is president of BCOA, so you'll be getting top shelf puppies :crossed_fingers_medium-light_skin_tone:
    A girl was still available last month.

    @jeimygirl I have added him to the database and he will appear as soon as I finish playing catch-up with today's incoming litters. So you will be able to see his ancestors very soon ! It is very easy to add his registration number and change his name at need. Email me photos as he matures and get photos of Mom and Dad too if you can - they really bring the pedigrees to life.

    This is not the time of year to look for a Basenji in the Northern Hemisphere, let alone in Kent ! One breeder from there is reputed to have said he had enough advance orders for 4 years after the last year's rush to buy a Basenji ! But you could (maybe) get on a waiting list for next March delivery. Email me privately (address in websites on signature block) for a list of breed club secretaries.

    @rjbasenji - this is the time to align with a responsible breeder for a pup maybe in 2021. Because Basenjis only come in season once a year and their litter size is only 4-6 puppies, it is difficult to find one especially will all the people that "want" one... If you can visit with a breeder that would help you or if not call them on the phone and tell them why you think that a Basenji would be a good fit for your family/lifestyle.

Did you check for yourself at www.ofa.org as DNA tests for Fanconi/PRA are public posted for the results. If not you should have your girl tested. It is a cheek swab that you do yourself. You can order it at www.ofa.org and the cost is 65.00 for each test (Fanconi & PRA)

    Go to www.basenji.org and search by state. Most likely you can find a breeder that might have or be breeding Black/White...
