Puppy Match and Lure Trial - No. California

    Just a reminder to all in Northern California, Saturday June 2, 2007 at Robertson Park, 3200 Robertson Park Rd in Livermore is the Basenji Club of Northern Califorina Annual Puppy Match, General Membership meeting & Pot Luck Lunch (bring your favorite dish) (all guess welcome), Basenji only lure trial and other fun stuff….

    We will get started at about 9:30am with the Basenji only Lure Test and Trial, followed by practice (all invited to practice, especially the puppies) and also there will be NOTRA course set up complete with the starting boxes (we hope) for people to see what Oval racing is about.... General membership meeting and Lunch around 11:30/12noon, followed by the Puppy Match.

    My sister is also a nurse. She used to organize flu clinics, and one thing that was mandated was that there was a loaded syringe of epinephrine handy. I hear you about the cost of office visits! My horse vet will come to the farm and wrestle with 3 horses floating teeth, give a couple of shots to each, and the bill is less than my Basenji's routine office visit!!! Ridiculous!

    I would suggest waiting until you get the little guy. Indi didn't have a name for abut 2 days. We had all these names in mind and none of them fit. Thats my two cents anyway (oh ya and because we did that I have a cool costume for him on haloween but I don't think I am going to get any cooperation on his end)

    By the way, if you read this bill, it also says that you can NOT sell your puppies from that "one" breeding, you have to give them away among other requirements…. Please folks I urge you regardless if you are in California or not, write a letter against this bill, what happens in California is the "poster child" for the rest of the country...
