Joan and Traci, happy to email you pictures. I will take some this weekend and sent them your way. The female is bigger in size (about 6kg) and lovely (tan with some black stripes and a lovely face) and extremely sharp. She is already trained. The male is smaller in size (about 5kg now) and very good natured. He is quieter but very vivid and active. We started their vaccination this week and they will have their booster in a month or so. My Basenji Curious George

My name is Helen Schneider of Huntsville, Texas and I have a wonderful basenji named George.
Trying to post a picture of my Curious George but I am not that great with computers.
My George is 18 years old !! we found him dumped !! in a remote area north of Midway, Texas.
He and his "wife" had about 5 puppies when we resued them in 1999.
He is a hand full but he has enriched my life like I never would have thought.
Just wondering if George may be one of the oldest basenjis ?
He has pulmonary fibrosis and was diagnosed in 2013. He currently has a steriod inhaler that has helped.

Wow 18 is extremely old. Congrats on keeping him going to such an great age.
