I think Oakley sees my point because he will look to the object my hand is touching…most often times at least..he never looks at my face for a cue of to acknowledge my words..if I throw something and tell him to go get it (and he doesn't see the throw)..it's impossible to direct him towards it..he's silly that way- no direction!
Clown dog of mine

last winter I was walking my Basenji mix? "Dutchess" with a friend and his 5yr old daughter we were at the top of a small sloping hill
( snow covered) when suddenly,
my dog starts to rub her butt on the ground (like dogs do on the carpet) , THEN ,DUTCHESS LIFTS HER FEET UP AND SLIDES DOWN THE HILL ON HER BUTT ABOUT 20 FEET ! WAS THE FUNNYEST THING IVE EVER SEEN A DOG DO.
THIS YEAR IM GOING TO TRY TO GET A PICTURE, IF SHE DOES IT AGAIN. -
Seriously?? That's too funny! Mine are too "delicate" to allow their precious posteriors to come in contact with snow…or ice, water, dirt, sand, wet grass, cold floors...etc. Try to get a VIDEO this winter!

That's so funny!! My girl has been known to want to lick the snow - icky cold wet thing - off her paws, so she sits… with her butt in the snow. D'oh!

When he was a puppy, Butu used to crease me up because, if he was tethered out when it was snowing (say while I went into a shop…) he would let himself get covered in snow - just stand there and let it settle. I used to come out after about 5 minutes to find a snow dog! He seems to be shaking it off recently, but if he does it this winter, I'm taking pictures....

Sounds like Dutchess needs a snow saucer! Would definitely need pics of that.

That would be so funny to see,

Have you seen a dog climb a tree?
