Happy Holidays all! Out pup was bien a few weeks ago, on December 2, just outside Paris, France. My fiancee and I will be moving from Montreal, Canada to Limoges, France in a few days, and will be picking her up around the first week of February. Elsza is the name we've given her. Attached are some of the pics we've received so far.

I look forward to reading up on the forum topics and getting to know the breed better.

We are attending our first event on Friday, Nov 26th in Decatur, TX and am excited to see her run her first practice run and see if she will be able to do a qualifying run. Super geeked!
So i hope to meet more basenji owners in the area since every time i do see another i get so excited and Penny just goes nuts over fellow basenjis.

I want to go to some lure coursing as well. I live in Austin with a rescue girl that I got from BRAT. 🙂 Welcome to the forums.

It looks like there's a pretty active club up in your neck of the woods. Maybe they have meetups you could join?

Not so much here, that I know of, though a lovely woman I met through Karen has 3 b's in a community near here. We have 2 basenji mixes in our neighborhood that we've discovered (your dog will find those for you if you take her to a dog park or a popular walking area).

Congrats again - can't remember if your post said this was your first B, but aren't they just amazing?

We looked at Zip when we got our puppy. We were interested, but have a chain link fence which she can climb. I'm so glad to hear she was adopted and sounds like she's very happy. We got a 6 month old puppy from Denise and he is now 1 yr. 3 mths old. He's great and his name is Leo (our son named him). Denise was so great that we are going to be contacting her for another one. 🙂
