It's just a reminder that listing a location helps connect your want/need to (hopefully) someone who has what you are looking for (within a reasonable distance).     Thank you so much but for the last 6 months yes, six months I have not gotten a response from them and those pictures are 2 years old of that sweet pair. That is why we drove to Texas to adopt Enzo our current basenji. We like to adopt older dogs and would love to have another older pup since no one seems to want them. Thank you again. I’m trying pet finder. We are so lucky in Colorado that most of our shelters have a high adoption rate.

    @helle-devi Thank you for responding. I have already been in touch with the basenji sisters. I was not aware before I contacted them that they are located in CA. I think the distance between us is too great. If things didn’t work out between my basenji and one of their girls, the distance would be a problem. I did become a member on the Facebook site that you recommended. Thank you so much! I was unaware that such a site existed. Jo Ann

    A lot of people get 2 pups at once, but different litters, opposite sex. I personally prefer one at a time so they bond more with humans than each other. Getting another the next season gives time to get the first settled. Of course, then you have another round of house breaking etc. A lot depends on your own experience with the breed. Good luck ... the link Pat gave you is your best bet for well bred puppies. :)

    @naz-roseberry I think it will work out well with Cutlers "Grandma & Grandpa" lol. I think that the move to a new neighborhood with 10 times the kids upset Cutler bcoz it was 10 times more noise than he was used to. Plus, I think some kids teased Cutler when you weren't right there with him & it was just too much for him noise wise & the teasing just flat pissed him off! At least Cutler is still in the family! He knows the people he's going to live with & he'll be able to see his before family when you all go to visit! I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to have to put him down just because he wasn't able to adjust to the new neighborhood. I'm really happy that you don't have to go thru that too.     I have a cat and have added two Basenjis since she and I came together. She is in charge and I encourage her to "train" the dogs. Our male (Guppy a BRAT rescue) has given her a little more trouble than most dogs (I guess she gives him a pass because he's cute-I wish she wouldn't though!). We have our moments (Guppy is a teenager and living up to the name Mr. Grumpy Pants) but we seem to be getting along just fine.
