It's just a reminder that listing a location helps connect your want/need to (hopefully) someone who has what you are looking for (within a reasonable distance).     Where are you located? There are actually a lot of options. Sadly, as of late, not a lot of basenjis being posted to BRAT. There are other rescues, including a great rescue for basenjis in Florida and California. Also, if you can't find a suitable rescue, please consider young and adults from breeders that they have decided don't fit their breeding plan. They also need and make great pets.

    @Meiberry: Gunner is tri color and loves his toys and enjoys playing with kids. We have his AKC records, he is neutered and shot records are all up to date. Has the dog been placed?

    I have a cat and have added two Basenjis since she and I came together. She is in charge and I encourage her to "train" the dogs. Our male (Guppy a BRAT rescue) has given her a little more trouble than most dogs (I guess she gives him a pass because he's cute-I wish she wouldn't though!). We have our moments (Guppy is a teenager and living up to the name Mr. Grumpy Pants) but we seem to be getting along just fine.

    Tucker, There are also a few B's in Virginia right from BRAT if your friend is interested in any of those I can transport to Philly - my sister lives there and I make trips up as much as I can.
