I tend to disagree with ElfinSailor about the dominant dog - a truly dominant Basenji is usually not a fighter for the very fact that he is dominant and others accept that or else keep their distance. The fighters are, more than likely, less dominant dogs who are trying always to establish a position. You may not agree with me but I have had much experience with Basenjis and plenty of opportunitis to study them. I also had mentors who were very experienced in Basenjis too.

I agree with previous posters with regard to showing and breeding and also with respect to Fanconi.
