It was a long, long time ago…. way before the days of controlling breeding/health testing/screening buyers.... Responsible breeding has only really be around in the last 20/25 years (give or take) I believe that the Deckers used a few Basenjis back in the early 70's. Again, way, way before the time of real health testing/screening buyers/contracts with spay/neuter requirments

Pat, I always do try to find out. If they respond to me, I can "maybe" get some info. I feel that responsible breeders WANT to get back any b before it goes into rescue. So, I do try. Will let you all know, if I can.

Oh no! Poor Quinn. The past few months have been rocky for him. You really are an amazing person for all you have done and continue to do for him. I'm sure he knows that he is loved now. Sending happy thoughts and hugs to both of you!

Taz has been in foster care through the Midwest Dog Resuce Network since he was turned over by the breeder (I believe around 8 months old). He had two sisters in foster care with him for a short time but they were adopted quickly. They were all shown on the BRAT website but were not evaluated by, or in the care of BRAT. He is such a handsome boy, I had given some serious thought to adopting him until they updated his profile to say that "he likes to be the boss". My female B absolutely has to be the boss of all other dogs (!) so I knew this combo wouldn't work out :( Here is the link to the organization caring for him: http://midwestdogrescuenetwork.com/default.aspx
