@daureen - I will also say that my C-Me picked me... note however that most all responsible breeders will pick the pup for the home.. this is why breeders want to know all about the home/family/lifestyle, we want them to be in their forever homes... that said there are exceptions.. in my case this was a puppy back from a breeding... I had the choice of the 5 bitches in the litter but from the moment that I went in the house, this was the pup that came to me and didn't want to leave. LOL... and in some cases there could be two that are about the same and would fit the family... then they have a choice. My C-Me was a great choice and while there were others in the litter that was maybe a bit nicer as a show puppy, but I could not turn away from this girl that picked me... She is a Dual Champion and whelped a wonderful litter... And she is a loving girl to all in the family
Basenji in Croatia
-
hi Nikol,
first of all, congratulations to your basenji girl!
Also, me and my husband decided to try and change situation here in Croatia and start a web page to introduce Basenjis with people here and we will get a male puppy soon and give it a try in breeding
please check first if there is any demand for basenjis in your area.
i can imagine the breeder stopped their activities because it was difficult to find good places for their pups, since it's not a breed for everyone. -
Welcome here Nikol.
Can't wait to see her. -
please check first if there is any demand for basenjis in your area.
Thanks
I'll take it slow. This isn't like I'm going to have litter every year
Mail point is to have girl and a boy, to have them as part of my family. When we decide to have a litter we'll register kennel and do it under FCI. What I'm trying to do is to create web site about Basenjis in Croatian where anyone who will be interested in a breed can learn about it on this web site.
Yesterday I found out that there would be a litter this year in Croatia, so after all I'm not the only oneThanks all of you for your lovely words
Tisa, I can't wait to meet you and your Loa!!
As I talk to breeder yesterday we will go to Austria 4th or 5th March to pick her up. So it's 21 day to go
β¦it seems so long :o -
The litter in Croatia will be from Loa's sister Asha.
And it will probably be red and black combination. The days will pass quickly, you will see.
-
Yes, I saw it
I hope Loa have litter this year too -
When we decide to have a litter we'll register kennel and do it under FCI.
that's great!
as well as the idea of providing people with information in their language.wish you a lot of patience for the remaining three weeks!
-
Yes, I hope soβ¦. :o
And then you will have one of her girls in Croatia too. -
Hi again, here a some new photos
I'm going to pick her up on Friday β¦we are so excited and happy!
But, I'm worried about her nose (it isn't entirely black jet)
It is better then 2 weeks ago, but it's a small amount that is still pink. Should I be worried, or it would go black soon? -
With that amount of white around the nose, not a surprise that it has not fully filled in yet⦠not something I would worry about.....
She is pretty cute!!! Good luck
-
Thanks tanza!! :p
β¦I couldn't sleep last night because of that -
Can't wait to hear how she settles in..
