I give a human Omega 3 EPA/DHA pill. It should state on the bottle that it is certified free of heavy metals like mercury. I am giving it to my boy who is 11 for immunity purposes.

Hi all,
I've seen that some breeders mate b/w with brindle or Tricolor with brindle. I cannot imagine which colour could be the result. Someone has a Basenji from such a connection and can post pictures?
Have a nice day!
Hi,
you could find answer in this thread http://www.basenjiforums.com/showthread.php?t=632
Where have you seen the connection brindle X tri, in Europe or US?

My pup Aaliyah (10mos.) came from a b/w (father) & brindle (mother) breeding…she is brindle (lightly brindled). Her 4 brothers & sisters all look b/w but they have stripes that show in certain light conditions - you have to look hard to see them - when they were younger you couldn't see the stripes at all.
She and her brothers & sisters are up on Eldorado's website on the "Contenders in the USA" page.

Aaliyah is "The Chosen One." The b/w brothers & sisters are "One More Time" (Smokey), "One Tough Cookie" (Oreo), "The Power of One" (Bailey), and "Just One Look" (Orca).
thanx for your answers!
@Irena: the link was very helpful! I've found the black X brindle in a Russian kennel and tricolor X brindle somewhere in northern Europe (Finland, Sweden or Norway. Sorry, I forgot where exactly).
But I don't know if these breeders are registered anywhere or more or less backyard breeders (I came across them while surfing but didn't have a closer look)
I bred my black and white girl to a trindle. We expected B/W, Br/W, and R/W. We got B/W and R/W. There were 4 puppies in the litter but we lost one at birth, 3 B/W and 1 R/W. You can see pictures of my Soul litter at http://basenjinet.net/PastLitters.html I think Ringo probably carries brindle since the last time I saw him, I thought I could make out stripes. I do not know about Sophie, I have never really noticed any stripes on her but I guess we will find out when she is bred.
I should also add, I know a breeder doing a brindle x tri breeding this year. She believes the brindle does not carry tri based on what siblings and parents have produced. Her hope is to get a nice R/W from the breeding. There were not any reds intact from the breeding that produced the brindle.

Do you remember their website (Northern Europe)?
Probably they are not a registered breeder, because FCI acknowledge only four colours (red, black, brindle and tri).
In the Netherlands there is a breeder who's expecting puppies from a tri x brindle breeding. I believe the kennel name is Xyloswater..
If the brindle female carries a tri gene, there could be a trindle, couldnt be?
If the brindle female carrie a tri gene, there could be a trindle, couldnt be?
Yes, if the brindle carries the Tri recessive gene, then they can have trindles. Also because the sire is a Tri, the pups will have the Tri gene
