Get together in Nevada

Basenji Meetups & Events
  • If anyone from Nevada is interested we would love to meet up so Congo could hang out with some other B's. I have never seen any Basenji's in Reno, NV and I know there have to be some nearby.

  • Hi Congo, Robby, & Michelle,

Are you still in Reno? We recently moved here from Mammoth Lakes, CA.

We have met a couple of B's at the dog park (Rancho San Rafael) and I guess two senior B's got adopted from the shelter on Longley last week.

    :-)

  • We are still in Reno but there is an even better dog park. I don't know which side of town you are located but it is definitly worth it. It is located in Hidden Valley-its called the Link Piazzo Dog park and it is fenced all the way around and they have a small dogs side and a large dogs side. I usually take Congo there and there is another B there that is a red and white B named Misty. I have had some problems up in Rancho San Rafael, especially since it is not fenced in and McCarran BLVD is right there.

I have a 1 year old female B that would love to play. Haven’t seen any Bs in this area. I live close to NOVA so if you set up a date I’ll gladly bring her to a dog park!

Found this thread and figured I would respond. I have an almost 1yr old Male (27 November) and would be interested in meeting up with other Basenji owners and their dogs. I live near Quantico and quite honestly don't see any other Basenjis ever. Will drive to most parks in the NOVA area.

No I do not as I am in OH. I just monitor Craigslist when I have time and post the ads. I did not notice the ear tip missing. In cold weather climates, if a dog is outside in the cold, the ears can get messed up. We took in a rescue years ago that had this problem as it was somewhat neglected and left outside too long in the cold in OH. It seems like we used to have much colder winters back then. Jennifer

We live outside Jacksonville,Fl. but I have a son in Savannah that I visit. Seren Jane and I would love to meet with other Basenji's and their owners. How about when it gets a bit warmer? Keep in touch and let me know when we can meet up. :) My cousin who lives nearby has recently taken in a rescue Basenji perhaps she would bring Lily too. Lily has Fanconi, but is on medication and doing well. My cousin previously had 2 Basenji's until they passed away a few years ago.
