    The BW, Nika I had used to get bladder infections and the vet attributed it to feeding too much veggies making the bladder environment too alkaline so the bacteria could flourish vs being more acidic so they couldn't. Some people said that doesn't seem right. The RW male I had got a bladder infection once when he was 13-1/2 and at the time I was giving more than the normal amount of fruits and veggies.

    Intresting theory, we used to give our Basenji Veg with his meat, he wouldn't touch fruit.
    We never ever give our big Dog veg as he has a terrible wind problem :(

    Sounds like it makes sense. I guess I was giving them too much. Just wonder if anybody else ran into this. Nika had too many bladder infections. Every time I saw her squatting a lot I thought "oh no not another infection". If they get a bladder infection you'll know if you see them squatting a lot. Then just get a small jar and catch some when they pee and if the urine is cloudy it's probably a bladder infection.

    We are going to talk to the vet again Thursday, and I will discuss all various suggestions with him. When reading on EPI, IPSID and IBD, all include symptoms as weight loss and diarrea. She does not suffer from any of these 2 symptoms. Her only symptom is vomiting on an empty stomach, and the stomach empties in no time at all which makes her vomit without the cortison. I will still go through the various conditions with the vet and take necessary tests to see if any of the mentioned diseases might apply anyway. IBD should have been tested during the Gastroschopy, only that it is called something different in Swedish. I will ask the vet. But more and more, I believe the problems were caused by myself giving her too big a variety of proteins, and too much food, when she was little. I am hoping to be able to go around this through finding the right food for Della, and cure her with a good nutritional balance rather than with medicine. Fingers crossed for Thursday/Sofie

    Thank you all so much for your posts, they truly helped me a lot. Being my first puppy, it is nice to be reaffirmed that she is just a puppy and that this is normal puppy behavior…. I will definitely continue with the training and try to be more consistent with my approaches. I truly did not think that this was aggression and I'm sorry for the misleading title post; I guess I was involving my own feelings as it has been a little frustrating to say the least. I see how the other puppies are in puppy class, and then there is little Kaya running around barking/yodeling for the entire hour - She is a little diva. Thanks again, and I look forward to continued interactions in this forum!

    I would suggest putting some A&D Ointment on it. Medjai had a problem with a rash type thing between his legs for over a year before I tried A&D and now it's gone. I've had him on good food, and tried different things from the vet and nothing worked until now.

    Well, your precious ones only have to have a rabies booster once every 3 years! Please tell all your friends in Wichita about the ordinance change – the newspaper buried the announcement in other animal-related information, I'm sure many pet owners in the city don't have a clue that they no longer have to booster every year.     They perscribed Batril for Caesar when he had a UTI and it fixed it up right away. What brand food are you using?

    His vet appointment is in three weeks and I'm taking the AVA information on Fanconi syndrome with me. We've been very lucky with Rocky. He was a rescue and has become the best family dog. I know the breed is not known for being good with kids but he is so incredibly patient with my two children (3 and 6 months). He even helped teach my eldest to walk by leting her hold onto his shoulders while she toddled along. I'll keep you guys posted and let you know what's up. We've had him tested for kidney, liver, and renal failure in the past as well as chronic UTI and blood-bourne illness. Nothing… "perfectly healthy dog". We'll keep looking until we figure out what's wrong. Thanks for all the info!
