Chance & Kiya Brag
-
Just a quick brag about this weekend. Chance now has his JC in lure coursing!!!!! He did AWSOME this weekend. He loved trying to go after the lure so much that I somehow managed to sprain or strain my wrist trying to hold him back.
I entered Kiya in the puppy sweeps and she did great. Too bad she didn't win. Honestly I would of thought she would of won but that's not my decision to make. She handled herself very well. I was quite proud. -
Congrats Vanessa (and of course Chance and Kiya)
So good to hear that he is a big man with his JC now.
Did you get any pictures of Chance durring his run? -
Congratulations on Chance's JC. I am hoping the photographer got good pics of the JC runs.
It is too bad you left early yesterday, you missed Nicky and Matuko's entertainment show. They tied for 3rd in Vets and we let them run off or at least tried to let them run off. Donna showed Nicky her duck jerky at the start line and he wouldn't leave her pocket. Matuko wouldn't run without Nicky. The only coursing Nicky wanted to do was coursing Donna's pocket. The poor judge decided we should try to rerun the course. The minute she said that Nicky went out and stalked the lure as the were bringing it back in to restart the run. I hope they got pics of him laying in wait and then doing his pounce and "kill". After successfully catching the bags he forgot about duck jerky for a short time and sort of ran the rerun. It was amusing to see Matuko watch as he usually ran in the wrong direction trying to guess where the bag was. He did get his duck jerky at the end of the run. It is too bad we didn't get the whole thing on video though since it was such a good illustration of veteran field cheating.

I love watching the b's run.
Kudos on your JC! -
Way to go Chance, he ran nice!!!
Kobey also got his JC on Saturday. He had one leg and completed the second for his JC. Hopefully he will be ready soon for competition. We did run him with Sophie in a practice and he did really wellโฆ and stayed focused

It really was exciting to see Chance go after the lure. When he was a pup he actually ran away from it
Trying to get him to run the entire course was extremely difficult. He would get distracted and stop and either potty or look up at the birds. LOL
Now since he has grown out of that puppy stage, its really neat to see him go crazy over the lure! -
Update:
I wanted to share a couple pictures of Kiya's puppy match pics.http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/orderpage.aspx?pi=0NPU000Z0S0094&po=94
