I like his baby blanket too! He is very cute. Doesn't look like he wants to share his toys with you.

haven't you ever read the Basenji property laws?
- If I like it, it's mine
- If it's in my mouth, it's mine
- If I had it a little while ago, it's mine
- If I can take it from you, it's mine
- If it's mine, it must never be yours.
- If it looks like mine, it's mine
- If I saw it 1st, it's mine
- If it's edible it's mine
- If you have something and put it down, it's mine
- If I chew something up, all the pieces are mine
- If it's broken, it's yours :)

Actually for Ruby…#11 would read "if it's broken, it is still mine".
Great post, btw! :D

Kippy_whip signed up first
Kip was from the Dogs Trust (rescue centre) didn't know anything about him, Somebody on our local park mentioned Basenji's and it was only when we saw the pictures on this site that we realised how similar he looks.
Don't know who is more trouble Kip or Kippy_whip – pesky teenagers --:D

I have three teenagers {and one child that is 20, so not far out of the teens….}, and two basenjis.
The Basenjis on their worst day are far easier than the teenagers on theirs. LOL :p
And to think, I still have two kids left to become teenagers.

My little basenji cross lying on all his toys at once!
QUOTE]How many toys do they need? My guess would be far more than we can afford! LOL

Medjai's answer is as many as can fit in his corner, even if they are shredded up.

Their basket, their corner, MY corner, the middle of the floor, under the table, under the chair, in the crate, in the kitchen, in the living room,on my lap, under my feet…....
ARE there enough toys in the stores to satisfy these guys? I'm thinking no.
And even when new toys arrive, the old ones cannot be given up!

I loved that. I only joined this site tonight. Your laws just say it all for me. I was reprimanded by an elderly couple on a country park near my home today because my basenji stole the foil cases that their pies had been in ha ha.

We posed the question to Sophie last night has she dug through her toy box, her answer was "the right one".

hahaha! And the right one is always on the bottom of the toy basket, so they all have to come out and be strewn through the house! :D :)
