    She is now fully sponsored to any rescue that takes her! I assume this means the $100 adoption fee is covered which includes her spay and vetting! If anyone knows a rescue that could take her, please let them know!     Oh, what a sweetie. He looks like such a lovely dog, especially by what is mentioned about him. It kills me when these animals are 'disposed of'. Would a couple get rid of a child because they have to work? In my animal loving world, it's no different for me. Pets are family, not a commodity. Okay, will get off my soapbox now.

    @sharronhurlbut: In case you all don't know, Joanne does a great job for all dogs, being the basenji mix rep. She is an angel on this earth. I can only help the dogs I do because there is a great network of Basenji people out there willing to help. I hope I can find someone who can help on this one, I don't usually have to ask Basenji people outside of BRAT but this is proving to be a tough one. I am trying to transport a little Basenji mix from Birch Tree, MO, where he was saved from being gassed, to his foster home in Wichita, KS. The person who pulled him from the shelter will drive him towards Springfield, and his foster mom will head east from Wichita. I am hoping to find someone around Springfield, MO who might consider transporting this dog part way to Wichita, Parsons maybe? I don't have a set date but I'd like to move him soon. He is about a year old, healthy, a little timid, good with other dogs. If you could possibly help this little dog I'd love to hear from you, please e-mail giza1@wildroseinternet.ca I have a picture of him but I haven't figured out how to get it up here.     Taz has been in foster care through the Midwest Dog Resuce Network since he was turned over by the breeder (I believe around 8 months old). He had two sisters in foster care with him for a short time but they were adopted quickly. They were all shown on the BRAT website but were not evaluated by, or in the care of BRAT. He is such a handsome boy, I had given some serious thought to adopting him until they updated his profile to say that "he likes to be the boss". My female B absolutely has to be the boss of all other dogs (!) so I knew this combo wouldn't work out :( Here is the link to the organization caring for him: http://midwestdogrescuenetwork.com/default.aspx
