    And for puppies and/or elders that have problems holding their urine… you can get pads at Drugstore.com that are for adults (people) for really reasonable price compared to the ones sold in pet stores... and I find no difference in them.. and you can get bigger sizes... I use them on my bed (along with the waterproof fitted sheets) for my elders that have problems with holding their urine over night and if they forget to wake up and go out will have accidents... I ordered them from drugstore.com and didn't have to pay tax or shipping.....search for bedding protection under incontinence

    Very cool….thank you for this. Makes me want to look for more information on it. Speaking of the chase, AJ almost got a groundhog yesterday... Fortunately, that groundhog was smarter than AJ and hid under a storage container. I would imagine that had AJ been off lead, I'd still be trying to get him out from under there. :D

    @lukris: That's good news about Chance Vicky. At least you know you have to find a nice clear boy for Nakura now. You must be relieved. Chance is Nakura's son so can't use him! The search continues. We need to encourage more people to test are there are only about 6 clear stud dogs in UK at moment. So not much too choose from there!!

    @etzbseder: Thanks, I've seen that before, but forgot about it. After looking at that, it shows that my answer would be: Clear pups ONLY means that neither parent is affected, and that does not change with multiple clear pups. The only thing that shows any determination of the parents is a test of the parent themselves (or if their grandparents are clear). correct. The more clear pups (with no affecteds or carriers) you had from the breeding of the same two animals, the more LIKELY it is that the parents are clear…but it certainly would not be a for sure.

    @tanza: If you go to www.basenji.org, you can get information about Fanconi from Dr. Gonto that developed the protocol. Best to print it off and take it with you tomorrow… and good luck.... I believe you should print the information about Dr. Gonto's protocal and give the information to your vet. Your vet can follow Dr. Gonto's treatment program, i.e. lab tests to run; follow-up lab suggestions; therapeutic goals; management dosing guidelines, etc. Your vet should read all the information. There is also also correspondence info: address, email and phone/fax numbers to reach Dr. Gonto. So sorry for you and your baby. Good luck with your visit tomorrow. I would go in armed with this information.
