Male or female

I have a 4 year Female old West highland terrier and want to know should I get a male or Female Besenji?? Growing up we had a female cocker and a female Besenji and things were great? What do you all think is best?

Generally, 2 dogs of opposite sexes do best together, but of course it depends on the individual dog. We have successfully kept 2 intact males together, but they were littermates and best buddies. They didn't even argue during "that time" of the year! We've had much less success keeping 2 girls together - seems like eventually they get into it and they hold grudges!
