Magic elves?

Basenji Talk
  • At my house sometimes I find things all chewed up that I didn't even know were missing yet. But the other day I found Abbey in the living room quietly chewing on something that appears to be a tiny little plastic donkey. The problem with that is I DON'T OWN any tiny little plastic donkeys!!

  • @Basenji_Boy:

Would you prefer the more taditional plastic poop?:D

    BTW:)

I've seen more than one Basenji that looks like it has eye liner on…..........hmmmmmmmmmmm?????????:) I'd watch that make up case.

Don't forget the ever popular cotton jersey wrapped 'underwear poop'!

  • @jys1011:

    Bboy-and a little mascara too :) :) BWAAHHHHHHHH

I bet if the author of Marley & Me had a basenji that book would have had TONS more to write about LOL LOL :D :D

yeah, instead of one best selling book, it would have been a series, turned into a movie trilogy!

  • We clearly have magic elves that are driven to destroy the ends of pens and mechanical pencils, and pen caps @@

  • @Quercus:

Don't forget the ever popular cotton jersey wrapped 'underwear poop'!

Is that like the shredded bedsheet wrapped poop?…...for clarity.:)

    Curious minds?????:D :D :D :D

  • yeah, instead of one best selling book, it would have been a series, turned into a movie trilogy!

LOL LOL…Harry Potter's got nuthin on Bs LOL LO :D

  • Lenora-little donkeys??!!?!?!?!?!?! BWAAAAHHHHHHHHHH I can NOT stop cracking up with that one!

  • I can't decide which is the funniest - the donkey, the wood/plastic poop or the very vivid cotton jersey wrapped poop. So descriptive, _so _hysterical!

  • Don't forget the voodoo dolls. I swear I'll be grilling him a steak (medium rare thank you) with a glazed look in my eyes before long.

  • LOL! This is just too funny! I wonder if the magic elves leave the tissue poo piles in my yard? I do believe this may vaguely resemble bed sheet and cotton jersey underwear poop. ;)

  • Don't forget that pillows and blankets belong where ever I think they do says Baka as he drags another blanket down the hall then proceeds to jump on the couch where the fuzzy blue blanket is that is so soft and chewey.
    hehehe

  • The way he is so helpful when building puzzles…let me see that one you won't miss think I'll eat it...it's just another blue chunk of carboard yummy!
I can chew on this red one so it will fit where the blue one went...then looks you in the eye like what did I do?

  • My boy, Magnum, says:

"I am using this writing implement at the moment. I may be chewing it now, but I shall be writing with it later, as soon as I consume this most delicious, meaty-looking end off of it. Why would you take it away? Could I trouble you for some paper? Toilet paper will do nicely. My memoirs, I guarantee, will be epic."

  • oh gbrox, you have to let me know how that one comes out. (i dont think i have noticed you posting before) i am extremely impressed by your cleverness. no doubt magnum is quite the scholar.

  • Those magic elves must have transported Bruiser up the stairs and into my bedroom. I got back from the gym and I heard his collar up there. He had gotten into everything. I hate magic elves!

Well isn't she a sassy little thing? Thanks so much for the information. I had not heard of this one at all. I will Google it to get more info and find where to purchase! Deb

Ah ok cool thanks, I had something like that when Safi was smaller and it was the most successful for sure. She outgrew it quite quickly though

I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

My undergraduate degree was in geophysics with a minor in applied math. I name all my Basenjis after Indian mathematicians. My current Basenjis are Madhava of Sangamagrama (Madhava for short) and Bramagupta (Bramagupta for short). They do respond to their "short" names.

We have a few of the "usual" words – esp. "cookie" -- but what really gets both B's going -- or should I say coming running from even a different room -- is if they hear Gypsy's jaw snap, as in "she just got food, what's in it for us". Amazing the distance from which they can hear Gypsy get a bite of anything. LOL
