@debradownsouth Thank you for the kind words but I have to admit... I take young adults for my own convenience. I simply don't have time, stamina or energy to deal with the pups as adorable as they are. Having a puppy is like having a baby or too! Did I mention I was not into children and babies or can you guess?lol. I love the retirees. they are already used to crates (although Ollie is now somewhat recalcitrant about getting into hers because she would rather hang out with her now "Mom", lol!! They travel well. They are usually somewhat used to people. Ollie is not used to playing by herself and is just getting used to "big" breeds. She doesn't get the commands "sit, down or stay" yet but we are working on it. She is the champ of the "heel" command however!!

hello i'm Farrahs_mom
she is our 2nd basenji our first one was kiah we got her when she was 2yrs old. had her for 12 years before she past away. loved her dearly. then when she was 6 yrs old we got a min pin for her to play with. she mothered him. he got a bath everyday by her. she lost her sight the last 2 yrs of her life and he led her around. then 6 months ago our daughter found Farrah for us. she was 8 weeks old and very lovable. Kiah was red and white and Farrah is black and white. she is a hand full. she loves being outside and has even enjoyed the snow that we have here in Illinios. the min pin thinks that he is her boss but she has already started giving him baths. he has taught her that it is best to sleep under the covers with mom and dad that way you don't get cold and then to sleep in the middle so you don't fall out of bed. we love our dogs and spoil them worse than the grandkids. -
Yep, I spoil Bella too! I just can't help myself, I look into those deep, dark eyes and the Basenji spell overtakes me!!!;)
Anyways, welcome to the forum!:D -
Welcome to the forum, fun for all. Spoil them B's!:D

talk about a small world. i'm in Carlinville about 50 miles west of Shelbyville. i use to go to see family that lived in Martinsville. and would go by way of Shelbyville and Matton. Matton had one of the best mexican place at one time. always had to plan the trip so we could eat there. do not belong to BRAT have thought about joining. only problem would having to let them go when they found homes. i get to attached to my dogs.

It's a small world. I work in Mattoon, so I've probably been to the Mexican place you are talking about. There are 3 that I can think of over here. (shh, don't tell that I am chatting while at work )
We're getting ready to foster a Boxer for a friend's brother. EEK! I don't know how I get involved in this stuff. Oh wait, yes I do. I'm dog addicted! -

You're getting ready to run "Team Destructo", aren't you?:D
-
These are the famous five aren't they? How's Momma Basenji doing?
-
They are so adorable! Is that a capped tri-color?
-
Oh my gosh! They are ADORABLE. I got my B, Giz at age 3, so I have never actually encountered a B pup. I can't wait to see them. Only the knowledge that I cannot fit another dog in my home with the new foster Boxer coming keeps me from wanting a B pup. I'll behave, though and turn them over to the next leg of the run
-
they are sooooo cute!!!
-
OMG! They are soooo adorable - how long to get from VT to IL???

That looks like a regular old tri color to meβ¦but maybe I am missing something....
A capped tri looks like a beagle face.
