You should share a photo of your mix. We'd all love to meet her.

@Motala - That is good that you talked to Jan and glad to hear that she had not been spayed. I still think that your Vet and you should connect with Dr. Gonto about your girl's blood work and blood gas results and if he has any thoughts about it.

@basenjilovers - She is very cute, please make sure that DNA testing was done for Fanconi and PRA. And if not or you are not sure, you can get the test kits at www.ofa.org. You do the test as it is a cheek swab.

@nala121498: Not to bud-in, but I'm from NJ too, Wayne, NJ! Moved north to escape the population…I did live near Harrisburg, PA for a bit, many years ago. Lopax Rd. that's all I can remember... Jersey, PA….....it's just a small world indeed.

@Sunny: So the African is larger than the American ?? Ill be posting newer pics tonight i finally got off my lazy rear and took film to be developed… but none of them are with in the last 2 weeks... she looks Basenji just she does bark but its rarely that she does ... and shes not the crisp white and red more a fawn and white... The Africans seem to be bigger, I'm sure there is the exception. Does she bark or is it more like a woof? Some of our basenji's sort of woof, but I wouldn't call it a bark. I don't know if you've ever visited this site, give it a look, lot's of 'Different" looking Basenjis. Navigate to the on-line library, many interesting articles on the Basenji in Africa. http://basenji.org/african/intro.htm http://basenji.org/african/library.htm
