    I've already submitted my application to BRAT. Here's what I'm looking for.

    Female
    4-7 years old
    Tricolor (preferred) or black/white, or sable
    Fully housetrained
    Fixed
    A gentle, easy-going temperament. She would be living in a very quiet apartment in Seattle with me and my 9-year-old tricolor, Ziggy, whose favorite past-times are sleeping, dozing, and snuggling.

    @helle-devi Thank you for responding. I have already been in touch with the basenji sisters. I was not aware before I contacted them that they are located in CA. I think the distance between us is too great. If things didn’t work out between my basenji and one of their girls, the distance would be a problem. I did become a member on the Facebook site that you recommended. Thank you so much! I was unaware that such a site existed. Jo Ann

    A lot of people get 2 pups at once, but different litters, opposite sex. I personally prefer one at a time so they bond more with humans than each other. Getting another the next season gives time to get the first settled. Of course, then you have another round of house breaking etc. A lot depends on your own experience with the breed. Good luck ... the link Pat gave you is your best bet for well bred puppies. :)

    David, welcome to the forum. I am not finding basenji clubs in either Tanzia or Zambia. I did find a strange listing with South African breeders.     It depends on the people. I do feel Jozie would be more comfortable with a calm home rather than a boisterous one. I would be very happy to talk to your parents about her and see if it may be a possible match.
