This I always my "rule of thumb" and only based on my experience but frequent long urinations= possible UTI and several quick squirts=marking….but every dog is different, even so my mind still automatically looks for those signals
Looking a little thin

I have 2 basenji pups: a tri male born 1/2015, and a red female 12/2014 that I got about 8 weeks ago. I can see their hips, and barely see the ribs, but have been doing nothing but increase their food without seeing much improvement on their boniness. We are very active, but pushing 3 cups/day for each. We tried a Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet, as well as Blue Buffalo and just cannot seem to put any weight on. I have been adding a bit of Olive Oil on their foods for slightly dry skin, and they also get frozen peanut-butter kongs. They have great looking coats, tons of energy, but seem really lean/skinny. Any suggestions or recommendations so I don't feel like a bad Basenji mom with bony-hipped pups?
