Have you had any success with finding out any rescue/adoption information? I am in a similar situation.

Pat, as you know, we really do work hard in BRAT to make sure that any quality basenji breeder are notified. I know myself, I have told folks that their b was in need in rescue, and the info never showed up on the rescue list. We are not out there to slam anyone. Our jobs are all about the dogs..ALWAYS… its about the dogs. If I get more that I can share, I will be happy to do so. Hugs my unmet friend.

Getting the gov. involved won't do anything but hurt the legal folks. Just look at byb who go over the "legal" limit for ownership of animals in their care, or horders, who don't do even legal mandated care… Its going to take education and spay/neuter of any animal who leaves a shelter. It's going to take years...I only hope I see it in my lifetime.

I posted a new thread re 2 of these b's who are having issues in their foster home and need help. I will share it with you all. 2- 3 yr old b's need fosters/homes, from pm bust –------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a pair of the b's who were taken from the puppymill that closed. We really need a smart basenji home to foster and or adopt. Sharron I imagine they will be open to be moved to any near by states. Wilma (brindle) and Wanda (red and white), both three years old and from the SD group, are currently being fostered in central LA. They are very afraid of men and not doing well in their current foster home. If anyone in the southern states, TN or AR would be willing and able to foster them both together, please notify me. I would like to place them in a foster-to-adopt home if available. If you do not live in the area listed but can help with transportation to your location I will consider moving them out of the area. If you are traveling through LA and would not mind a couple furry passengers, let me know. They ride well in crates. They don't post the location on their web site. Karen usually sends it to you via email once she schedules a visit. You might want to call again–and send an email. And yes--Saturdays are fine. I believe any day of the week is ok because they are there working literally every day.

hi sharon. I feel like I know you. I have read your stuff on Brat. I am glad that you are getting the word out on Brat. Mabel, My B was adopted from there. I cannot say enough good things about people in that organization. Actually I'm in that organization. We are good people. Mabel's foster was very helpful with helping me understand her behavior. I think a lot of it was due to fact Mabel is an alpha female. Well just thought I would say hi bubsgram94
