  • Please can any tell me why some Visitor messages sent by myself say "This message is moderated "
I have to say it makes me a little uncomfortable to not know the reason why and wonder if any forum members can help me.

  • There are no personal messages on this forum or I should say no private messages, all messages are moderated I believe when you put a message in the visitors messages

  • Pat,
thanks for your reply. I did mean to say visitor messages and i know they're not private.
I have posted quite a few visitor messages since joining the forum and only two have had the words "This message is moderated" The two messages have since disopeared ?
Neither of the messages were controversial or anything like that.

  • :o Right i've figured it out . You were correct Pat all messages are moderated and the words "this message is moderated disapears once the reciever has clicked approve message. I was feeling a bit freaked out, like i'd done something wrong :D

@JENGOSMonkey I WAS THERE FOR '89! I was a kid, but I remember the water coming out of the swimming pool in huge waves and everything falling from the shelves! I was actually born in San Jose, but moved around a lot later LOL I hear the wildfires are more of a concern for you guys now? That's scarier than quakes for me...

I cannot imagine committing to buy a puppy without seeing the animal and if possible the sire and dam. OTOH, a rescue (or adoption of an older dog) is a different thing. My last two Basenjis came to me sight unseen, and turned out to be wonderful dogs, but the breeders I got them from wanted to place their dogs in an experienced Basenji home, and I only paid the cost of getting the dogs to me. One came by air, one was personally transported to me by his breeder. If she hadn't been happy with what she found I expect she would have taken him back with her when she left. I also had to commit to return him if ever I couldn't keep him. Good breeders care about where their dogs end up.

@Kembe, nice post! We've gone to solid food chopped up in a food processor, but we're grinding it a bit more course as we go. So far, no puppies are choking, but good to know!

@Shannanigan: I thought as much. (about the vet) I don't think Paco gets it…he can be very difficult to handle with food around, and Chris and I are VERY adamant about not giving him food anywhere else besides his food bowl or while training outside. He used to even nip at me while I was eating, so that we'd have to put him outside while we ate. Thus, I prefer my guests not feed him from off their plates and encourage it. :D I remember the problem you had with Paco and the pizza. We never feed Malaika off our plates and don't allow anyone else to do it either. She wouldn't need much encouragement to take food off our plates. We will treat Kwame the same. They do sometimes get left over treats but in their own dishes.
