Help with class project- Oregon

    I'm working on a class project about cat colony caretakers and bird conservationists. Our class is surveying all 50 states and I am attempting to get in touch with cat colony caretakers in Oregon to have them do our survey because so far they are not represented in our project although I know that there is a strong community of them in Oregon. Over the past few months, I've tried most of the usual channels (Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon, shelters, vet offices, etc) but I haven't had any luck, so I thought I'd take a shot in the dark and see if any of our Oregon residents know of any cat colonies in their area.

    We are not taking sides in the issue, but we are hoping that what we learn from this research project will help to solve some of the conflicts between the two.

    If anyone in Oregon knows of any cat colonies (or people out of state knows of any in Oregon) I would really appreciate the help. I can also provide some more information about the survey and the project.

    Yea!!!!!!!!!! Hubby Lou got some photos of Wheat, in her pink collar, and with her pink bucket today. As we only have the laptop, he doens't have the cable to attach to send this, so it will have to wait until I get home. As least you will be able to see I wasn't telling a "story"..well, I was telling a story, but now I can back it up! Laugh.

    @sharronhurlbut: That is because Therese has just love dogs and you picked the right breeder and pup! Did your homework and see how you got "lucky"!!! True, true. I know someone mentioned in a thread something to the effect that they were hoping their b would stop being so clingy. I, on the other hand, love how Kipawa wants to be wherever I am. He will wake up from a dead sleep to follow me into another room. He really does not like me to be out of his sight, and I love that, because when I am out with him at an offleash park, he is the same. He always wants to know where I am. Regarding "luck"… well, I think it was just meant to happen. Kipawa and I bonded instantly. His little sisters were more interested in Darrel in his wheelchair, but Kipawa had to snuggle with me on the couch and put his snoot in my hair. I will never, ever forget that.

    I have never been to Sea Rock, but once I retire, I plan to travel this lovely coast and see all the lovely area's it has to offer.

    I'm in, too. Some are wire haired and others are smooth like a Basenji? Interesting breed.

    Thank you again I am not to sure Jaycee will be ready but Eli did Karate fom time he was 5 until 12 he went in front of hundreds of people and would test. I hope that helps him or at least makes him more comfortable. Rita Jean

    IM so sorry for your loss … it almost sounds like feline leukemia or feline aids... we had 2 litter mates die from it... And the symtoms you describe sound all to familar ... You might contact your vet and ask questions... If you have other cats, this is a highly contagious desease.
