@senjisilly the shelter doesnt provide any after care, they send you with a record what theyve done to your vet. They treated her for round and hook worm but not tape which i thought was odd since it was very visible that she had them. The worms i saw the other day were even a sign to me that the liquid medicine my vet gave her was not effective at all..theyre literally useless, hence my search for a new vet

Allergy to flea or mite
Hey there, me again! Just looking for some help on another health issue. We've been battling some type of skin allergy/reaction to either fleas or something else.. the vet isn't sure if she has/had scabies/mites but treated her for it today. She actually doesnt have fleas but my guess is at one point she was really infested based on the amount of tapeworm shes battling. Her skin is red, itchy, no scabs or wounds..no hair missing but her skin is warm {hot spot) theres a TON of dandruff, scratching licking biting etc. The vet said a food allergy is uncommon at this age (3 1/2 months). Shes on prednisone for the 2nd time as well as an antibiotic and has had 2 medicated baths, yet she seems to still be suffering. My heart is breaking for her. I'm doing everything possible, i'm already broke and its been maybe 3 weeks since we got her. If anyone has been thru this please let me know. I'm looking for a new vet but not a lot come highly recommended where i live. Thanks for listening!

Tapeworm
Hi! I was wondering if anyone haf any good recommendations/info regarding tapeworm. She has been dewormed from the shelter and our vet twice for several parasites but was only hit once with a tapeworm med. I administered it last Mon but still seeing a large amount passing. My vet isnt the greatest as i'm looking for a new one. He didnt look at her stool long enough to agree with me today but i'm well aware of the fact that she has a heavy amount passing. Any OTC meds that anyone has used and knows works well let me know.
Thank You!- l

RE: New pup!
@njdeb haha aww okay. I'm from Jersey too! We're possibly getting stationed in Cape May for 4 years so i was pretty curious about how she'd do up there. Good to know i'll need to take her winter shopping as well ha! Thanks for responding

RE: New pup!
@senjisilly i read in quite a few different places that looking at their teeth is an issue. She wont let me do anything actually but she does let me hold her. Its been a rough week. As with any dog/breed you need to be sure theyre a fit for your family and so far if she is a B I'm struggling to believe itll work out but we're trying! I appreciate the input and guidance, thank you!

RE: New pup!
@senjisilly Ive never seen any dog that looks like this haha. Shes unusual to me! Her weight is now almost 11 lbs. The shelter was unsure of age..they guesstimated between 2 and 3 months. I'll say based on her teeth (what she'll let me see of them) that theyre correct

New pup!
I posted in a different category not seeing this one first! We just adopted a pup on Saturday, our son named her Delta after a dinosaur from Jurassic World not the airline lol. The shelter listed her as a Shepard mix but we're not sure about that. She has the exact physical make up of a tri color B except theres no white on her face just legs and chest. Her face is very triangle but tan like a Shepard. I'm having trouble uploading a picture because its too large but i am looking for an experienced B owner who can maybe let me know at first glance what they think. I dont know if we're allowed to share emails but i would appreciate any help. Shes been quite a handful already lol. For almost 3 months old shes doing more than I've ever seen a puppy do. Shes already ran up and down the stairs with no fear or coaxing. She ran faster than any puppy i ever saw and CLEARED a jump over my over sized couch and stuck the landing like a cat haha. Shes literally a ninja. She doesnt listen well and potty training is a huge struggle. I'm learning that shes extremely independent and trying to work with that as well as having her obey. Food aggression is evident and arguing is in full effect but shes a huge cuddler/lovey type when shes tired. Loving her but i can tell we have quite a future ahead of us with this one lol. My son has sensory issues and we have a cat so i need as much advice as possible in order to accomadate all personalities. We're also in the Coast Guard and move every 3 to 4 years and i read that B's are not cold weather types..anyone live in a cold climate that can help as we may be headed to one next year?! If someone is willing to share emails for a pic that would be so great!

New pup!
We just adopted a pup this weekend and was told shes a shepard mix..we dont think thats the case here. I'm having trouble uploading a pic because of the size but i could use an experienced eye with this breed as we have never heard of it. I'll take any and all advice regarding her. Shes so precious but i have a feeling she'll need a lot of work, time and attention. She also lives with a cat now so I'll need any help i can get with that! Thanks!
I can message a pic if someone can please let me know what they think upon first glance!- list item
