Basenji folks in alabama

hi, i noticed that we had a few members from alabama. i was wondering if any you owned or knew who owned a dog by the name of mugsy the mug? my sister had a pup out of him and when she asked about the parents they had been sold to someone in alabama, they never found the contact info for her. its a long shot but i thought i would ask here for her.

Hi Ambered, I don't know about that particular dog. I bought Abbey two years ago from Mike McAnnalley in Morris, Alabama. He bought the father, Playboy, from someone in Missouri, but the mother, Guinivere, was rescued from someone locally who was about to make a puppy factory out of her. I don't know of any other basenji breeders here.

lenora, i just read your profile, funny. my mom is in alabama, a nurse, and enjoys celtic music, she even took a trip to ireland recently.
this dog was purchased in south florida, there was a female too. cigar bugsy, i beleive is the name. they would be about 6 or 7 nowadays. i was just curious what happened to them. i did check the zande pedigree search, there are no others pups registered. somewhat of a relief, so no one does this

i knew one older couple in dothan that had a few basenjis, some were show, mostly rescues. my mom is in abbeville, she just has pets now.
