    Help…. we are in search of a female basenji puppy for my mom. Yes she has had one and here ex got it in the divorce years ago. She loved her very much and now agter years b on her own would like another. We would like to be able to meet tje breeders if possible versus having one shipped in. She just wants a pet. No showing or anything like that. Thank you

    @shankara Oh yes, I've heard the stories! :) Our first basenji chewed through the seatbelt of my mom's car on a road trip. He turned into a wonderful and patient dog though. I'm certainly looking into BRAT too.

    Hello, go to www.basenji.org and search for breeders... by state and there are some from Canada... you are most likely looking at possible breedings for fall/winter of 2020. Note however it is IMPORTANT that you go to a responsible breeder so registration papers are important as many BYB's use other types of registrations that are not registered by AKC or the Canadian Kennel club and you need to follow up on health testing youself... if they are doing responsible health testing before breeding the results are public at www.ofa.org.     @debradownsouth He was Arrested and then he died. I will refrain from posting Horse related posts. You just did not believe me when I said Horses are taken to Great Adventure. Now regarding the Basenjis relation to Wolves: Mu dog loved the Wolves and when I would walk the Wolf and the Dog in the Park the Dogs there which included Rotties, Saint Bernards, Bull Mastiffs all pulled their owner out of the Park because Dogs instinctively fear Wolves. Thannks!

    Best suggestion is for them to visit breeders in So. California. I am breeding this year, but already have more reservations then puppies expected. Best to go to www.basenji.org

    Yes i have been very interested for a long time. Iv been in contact with a Breeder from England for a while now and they are expecting a summer litter. While iv been speaking to the breeder i feel comfortable that she will be more than helpful and is willing to all of the above. Like you said the price was the last thing on your mind, this goes for me too. I was just wondering along the lines so i could save to buy my puppy. Thanks for the help :)
