    Help…. we are in search of a female basenji puppy for my mom. Yes she has had one and here ex got it in the divorce years ago. She loved her very much and now agter years b on her own would like another. We would like to be able to meet tje breeders if possible versus having one shipped in. She just wants a pet. No showing or anything like that. Thank you

    @liz-falzone Not sure if you are one of the 60 or so would-be Basenji puppy purchasers who has emailed me privately - PC is in the hospital and I am working on my laptop so can't access the list. But that alone does tell you a great deal ! I haven't bred a litter for 12 years now but am still getting enquiries - current breeders are also inundated. We have been weeding through enquirers, putting many people off this challenging breed if they should perhaps look elsewhere, and filling lists of known 2020 winter breeders. Many have been accepting visitors and establishing a relationship. And have closed lists. But breeders this winter seem to be holding their cards close to their chests, Rescues have been rehomed and Breed Clubs don't have many intended pairings listed. I may be able to help but need to know a great deal more about you - location, knowledge of the breed, children, working from home etc. My email addresses are on the websites listed in my signature bloc

    @debradownsouth He was Arrested and then he died. I will refrain from posting Horse related posts. You just did not believe me when I said Horses are taken to Great Adventure. Now regarding the Basenjis relation to Wolves: Mu dog loved the Wolves and when I would walk the Wolf and the Dog in the Park the Dogs there which included Rotties, Saint Bernards, Bull Mastiffs all pulled their owner out of the Park because Dogs instinctively fear Wolves. Thannks!

    @Buddys-Pal Keep in mind that there was no Fanconi test in '05. The linkage test came out in '07.... HOWEVER, there is no reason to ever again produce Fanconi in Basenjis... There is a direct DNA test and as Buddys-Pal pointed out, look for the test results yourself, they are public at www.offa.org

    @godzilla: after losing kenta back in feb. i've been looking for a brindle also he died from blastomcosis ) the lady i got him from says he was a rare one but i grew up with a black and white and got another he has such a attitude and i love him the rodent if you happen to find more than one let me know PLEASE If you are looking for a brindle boy… shoot me a message at bennyburnerbono at aol dot com.     If you are still looking for pups, feel free to get in touch with me. I have a co-bred litter up in Drumheller, ALB. They are red/white.
