    Hello forum,

I am new and came across your forum through a google search. I recently adopted India from a shelter in New Mexico. After reading up on breeds, I feel as if she may be part Basenji. Sorry, not exactly sure where to post this, but figured someone one here would know ;)

I would have to say yes, I believe your loving India is in fact, part Basenji. After the research that you have done, does she have the typical Basenji charicteristics.

@sleacc said in Basenji Mix?: @martianmaya22 I wish I knew how to enter a photo here ! You can upload from your computer. Click on the symbol 2nd from the right at the top of the compose box. Make sure your picture file is not too large! Or you can link to a picture that is already on line (symbol 5th from right, above).

I don't see much basenji in him (the ears don't look right somehow) - chihuahua or dachshund maybe and yeah some kind of terrier. Nice though.

They may not be very familiar with breeds. I agree with Robyn he looks all Rat Terrier to me. Keep in mind that the Rat Terrier breed does have some basenji blood in it and some have a strong resemblance to basenjis.
