LA-Lafayette-Free Basenji Mix Puppy To Good Home-On Craigslist

    There is no picture and no mention of sex or age but it does have its rabies shot which is usually done at 3 or 4 months! I am only posting this because this puppy may wind up as a breeding dog or a bait dog. There is also a tropical storm approaching the Gulf Coast! I do not know why owners do not contact rescues as many will take a puppy.

    If anyone can help or know of a rescue that can help, please contact the owner!

    This dog is registered? Wonder who the breeder is? I know someone a few hours away who might take the B if he is OK with kids and another dog in residence.

    I also thank you for being so good to give this boy a,home. it sounds as though he's had a really rough time in the past but I know you'll make up for all that. I hope he gives you a lot of pleasure.

    @Patty: Hi everyone, just to close this mystery- the ladies involved disappeared, so to speak- they don't answer phone calls or emails, and while we were supposed to meet on Saturday, neither one answered their phones to coordinate anything. I found the exact picture that they used on Craig's list on puppyfinder.com. Some things that seem too good to be true are. Creepy! Good thing you had your wits about you and that you're safe.

    @Janneke: Sahel is a gorgeous girl! I hope she finds a good home soon! This is what I don't understand.. The pup is about a year old and the owner wants to get rid of her because: "I'll be traveling and working more this year, so I'm finding a new home for a beautiful and sweet female Basenji" What about thinking before getting a dog :( It is possible that the owner has a new job, something possibly unexpected especially with the sketchy job market in the US presently. In any case it sounds as if the owner cares about her and would like to find a good home.
