TX-Conroe/Houston-Found Male R&W PB Intact-At Shelter

    This boy was found 2 days ago. BRAT does know about him as someone posted him on BRAT-CHAT. He is in the Montgomery County Animal Shelter which is one county North of Harris County which is the county where Houston is located. I looked last night on different websites for a lost Basenji but no luck. He does have dewclaws.

    I have not contacted the shelter to see if he is still there. I do not know if BRAT is going to get him when his stray hold is up. I do not know if the shelter checked for a microchip.

    Digger is a rescue that I took in and adopted out to this owner when I used to do Basenji rescue. He was really young then and I'm glad he's made it into his teens. :)

    @sharronhurlbut: Dan, this owner didn't do ANYTHING but give this basenji to a teenage boy. I mean COME ON!!!!!! What teen has time to take a dog to gentle classes? The basenji lived in that house for 9 yrs, biting folks when they pushed him too far. So, this dog got nothing, and when the kid left, the owner gave him away. Why, cause she didn't want to live with him and passed this damaged dog on. Its a shame that the folks she gave this boy to didn't sue her. I wish they would! Sigh. Sorry, I am so darn angry about this. Sorry for the rant. I hate lose/lose I completely understand Sharron. :(

    Please advise the owners to place ads in the newspapers and to circulate pictures of their dog. This can really help. Wishing for the best.
