Advantages and disadvantages of solar energy.

Off Topic
  • There are just too many advantages of solar energy over the non-renewable resources like oil. Solar energy is healthier than oil. The burning of oil releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into our environment. The average home produces more than twice the amount of carbon dioxide than an average car does.

Solar energy Australia is free. The sun provides it which will power thousands of generations to come. Therefore solar energy is a renewable source of energy; oil on the other hand is not a renewable source. Once exhausted, it cannot be retained. The main reason why most companies don?t use it is because they can?t charge the person for something that?s available free of cost to everyone.

Solar panels are cheap to build. All you need is a reliable Do It Yourself kit and a guide that will guide you every step of the way. Or you can consult a solar energy Australia company to do the same for you. Solar cells are extremely quiet. They power your home without making a sound.
You can create your own solar power for just below $200. Some countries offer tax rebates and tax reductions through implementing solar power solutions in your home. The countries include Australia and America. It's possible to "sell back" power into the grid and pay less for your electricity bills.
As you can see there are many advantages of solar power. On the other hand there are also some disadvantages such as:
Buying factory made solar panels can cost thousands. But there are Do It Yourself kits to show you how to build solar panels. Solar power cannot be created at night. However, that's why there are wind generators or hydro power. They are mostly abundant in countries with a high number of hours exposed to the sun. So, cold countries in the northern or southern latitude will create less solar energy.

  • Solar energy is a renewable form of energy which can be put to various purposes depending on the individual's needs and the solar device used. Solar energy can be obtained easily by installing solar devices in your home and these devices are quite efficient and come with a lifetime warranty.

I cannot imagine committing to buy a puppy without seeing the animal and if possible the sire and dam. OTOH, a rescue (or adoption of an older dog) is a different thing. My last two Basenjis came to me sight unseen, and turned out to be wonderful dogs, but the breeders I got them from wanted to place their dogs in an experienced Basenji home, and I only paid the cost of getting the dogs to me. One came by air, one was personally transported to me by his breeder. If she hadn't been happy with what she found I expect she would have taken him back with her when she left. I also had to commit to return him if ever I couldn't keep him. Good breeders care about where their dogs end up.

@sanjibasenji Thanks for the article on Dog Genome Project - I found it very interesting. I was trying to figure out the interactive Genome wheel. It has the basenji closely related to the Azawakh and rat terrier but I’m still trying to figure out the first wheel which has the basenji listed w/ black/grey starting point. As far as the PBS Dog Tales video - it’s very interesting - it’s season 47 episode 2 - I highly recommend you watch the whole thing (54 minutes).

Nobarkus, do you remember the ballyhoo over the "Hole in the Ozone Layer?" We all had to give up CFC propelled aerosols, change our vehicle paints and revamp the entire industrial sector of our economy. Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning systems, you name it…all had to be changed. Who made a buck off that? Now we know the ozone layer not only cycles just like every other part of nature, but is replenished with every lightening strike. I was a schoolgirl at the time and I still remember the hysteria over this. At the same time, there was a huge push to make everyone believe direct sunlight is bad for people. Newer research has shown we need direct sunlight in order for our bodies to make vitamin D, which has a great impact on bone strength and the immune system. The point is that we have been subjected to various hysterias over time. I have become numb to most of it. I believe our friend Al Gore, among others, is in line to make tons of money over this global climate change nonsense. That's what this is really all about. My wish in this life is to be left alone to make my own decisions with regard to my life and how I choose to live it. Unfortunately, that is unacceptable to people who crave power over others. These are interesting times, yeah? Cheers
