Just got Ayo's test kit in the mail… Will do it maybe tomorrow. I am suddenly very nervous!!! I want to find out about express mail from here first so that i am sure i can send it quickly....
Did you receive a pedigree?
Before the definitive Fanconi DNA test, I was testing my rescues for glucose in the urine at 2 years of age. I have not yet retested my dogs with the updated DNA test so they are still being tested for glucose in the urine.

That is a huge relief about the cheek swab…She absolutely HATED having her blood drawn and has been mistrustful of the vet and vet techs ever since. I didn't not realize that there were many errors in the original test.
I stopped frequenting this forum shortly after I had her test done and haven't really heard anything from the basenji world until I got the e-mail. I will definitely get this re-test done as soon as possible and will pick up some strips tomorrow so I can start testing her urine. Thankfully she has not been showing any signs of poor health and has always done well on checkups.
How long the results take to post on OFA for the Fanconi marker test is a bit variable. I would say that for most people it posts somewhere between 2-4 weeks after the email notification is recieved. They are also posted in batches so watch for other postings with the same Test Result Date as yours. If the batch posts and yours isn't there, then email OFA and let them know.
If you submit your CERF paperwork, the CERF results will automatically link to the OFA site. CERF sends an update to OFA about twice a month so again it is about 2-4 weeks for it to show up on the OFA site once the dog has an OFA page.
And remember everyone, they really do go bad, so please do not use them past the date….. if there are some of you that live close or even you could do it by mail, you might think about sharing the strips instead of just tossing them
