    I received an e-mail last night from the BRAT adoption coordinator that we got Jojo from. She said that a puppy mill in MO was closing and BRAT, who doesn't normally go to puppy mills and purchase pups but they thought this was different, went and got 2 mamas and 13 puppies!!! She also said that if you make a donation to the vet bill that you get to name a pup. Four already have names! There are pics on Yahoo abd she put the link in the e-mail but first, I don't know how to add a link and second, I read in the admin section of this forum that you are not to add a link unless approved by them. I would love to have you see this link. Any help? Terry

    There are pictures of the pups in the "Rescues" section of this forum. It isn't the group of pictures that Liz posted with Brat, but group pictures and puppy pile pictures. They are great.

    Thank you Alkite. There was a sad story included in my e-mail but not sure if it is "out" there. The ones I am talking about are individual pics of the puppies in a basket or standing side view. I will check the "Rescues" section out. Thanks again. Terry

    The individual pics are great and they are not on this site anywhere, just group shots of the same pups. Lady's and Isabelle's. They are just the cutest little things. I've picked the one I want :D Unfortunately there just isn't anymore room in the inn.

    Oddly, my B does worse when off her turf when meeting new dogs, and is much better meeting them at home. I have to say that the only way my B was okay with a new dog was if the new dog was crated and she got to sniff and check out the new dog without it jumping all over her. Once I knew my B was okay with the new dog, I put both dogs on leashes in case one became aggressive, and let them out together in one room.

    We always called that the "blue funk" after the girls were in season and for about two months after.... once they got passed the "I should have had puppies".... they would go back to mostly normal.....

    @myran: Thh only thing you have to keep in mind that girls go into heat which can be a hassle whining male having to guard and often separate them during the critical period. I have several basenji friends that have 2 even 5 boy´s and it works as they are of different ages puppies are integrated in to the pack when they are less then 12 weeks.But it takes a strong leader males rarely fight to kill more to show who´s the leader and when the other gives up they calm down not so with females they can be really nasty. Are you going to show them and maybe in the future breed then yes a girl but if not i´d choose a boy as it´s cheaper to neuter a boy then sterilize a girl.Especially as you have to let her have one heat before surgery maybe it´s different over there.And as I said before you can have boy´s together that aren´t neutered.But as they´ve mentioned before go with your breeders recommendations. Good Luck,Michelle In the US, price is usually the same for a spay as it is for a neuter…. and usually people opt to spay before the first season in the US.

    I would suggest waiting until you get the little guy. Indi didn't have a name for abut 2 days. We had all these names in mind and none of them fit. Thats my two cents anyway (oh ya and because we did that I have a cool costume for him on haloween but I don't think I am going to get any cooperation on his end)
