Innova's EVO coupon

Basenji Feeding
  • Hi guys,

A customer at work shared this with me and so, in these difficult financial times, I thought I'd share it all with you.

If you go to Natura's website, (Natura makes Innova, Evo, Karma Organic, Mother Nature…etc) and contact them here:

    http://www.naturapet.com/about-natura/contact.asp

they'll mail you a set of $5.00 off and $3.00 off a bag of their food. I did it for EVO as that's what Shango eats, but the coupon says valid for any Natura line.

All I did was simply explain that I love the product so much and have seen such great results but was worried about being able to afford the food on a continuos basis. WALAH! There was a coupon in the mail the following week!

    Good luck!

  • Thank you, Andrew. How's Shango been? Still the adorable host at the shop?

  • Thanks, I just asked for Innova coupons!

He's doing GREAT. He's still managing things at the bakery just fine though day after day he just glares up at me after a pup leaves the store- he wants another dog to play with so badly! LOL

Fran, dogs don't really digest whole veggies. One thing I learned many moons ago on barf lists, if you want your dog to fill up, serve in chunks. You want your dog to get any benefit … smash them up. If you want to check it for yourself, give your dog several chunks of different veggies, check the poo. Often what you find looks pretty much what goes in. That said, mine love apples. USUALLY they chew them up. I got up to Cara throwing up 2 days ago-- on big apple chunk and liquid. Sigh. Guess I'll slice much smaller.

Haha. I've made myself heart from the grocery store, and I liked it. I've had liver and onions and chopped liver, and they were good too. Freeze dried, just dounds so … dry... Medjai seems to like it though.

In Australia, (especially in Tasmania ), we have none of the brands of dog food that you guys are talking about… We feed a premium dry food to our 2 B's, in the morning, which I might add, neither eat much of :). In the evening they get dry with a little wet food mixed in, also warmed up. Both of them get a 1000mg Omega 3 capsule, and the difference in their coat is incredible. Both had quite dry, flakey, scurfy coats, and our Vet suggested this, and I couldnt be happier with the results. Im new to the breed, and my mentor lives interstate, so all that I am doing, is trial and error ;). Just a couple of weeks ago, I was showing Ochre, and the judge was going over her coat, again and again, on the table... I was thinking she didnt like her coat, and was dreading what she might say to me !!! I was pleasantly surprised when she actually said that Ochre had the most correct coat that she had touched in the last 12-18 months :D. Thankfully the sun was out, just long enough for the B judging, and she literally glistened in the sunshine. This judge also commented on her bright whites, and shiny red colouring. She said, I dont know what you are doing with her coat, but, please keep it up... I was over the moon with these comments :).

I use Nutro Natural Choice for sensitive stomachs. I think it is Chicken, Oatmeal and Rice. I had taken them off it and found their coats didn't have the same sheen and were kind of rough. It does depend on your dog though, I haven't had any problems with it either upsetting their stomachs.

@JazzysMom: Funny – Jazzy is my dog that is not in a hurry for food {although treats do exite her}; she doesn't run to the bowl, takes a long time to eat, etc. And she is the one with the weight struggles. I have to watch her intake closely or she chunks up pretty fast. Keoki is our pig. He lives for food, glorious food! He'd stuff himself sick if we let him. Yet he is our leanest dog -- not skinny, but not an ounce of extra fat on him either. You'd think it'd be the opposite, wouldn't you? our house is the opposite. Dash is much slower to eat than Sissy. We have had to become creative to get him to eat quickly so she doesn't end up eating it all.

I feed Tayda in her crate, because if i don't she will pick up a few pieces of food, carry it to the carpet and eat it there. Also it keeps Lenny away from her food. Usually when he's done eating, he'll wander over to the crate and wait around like a vulture. ha ha. However, I did notice Tayda's eating habits changed a lot once Lenny was around. She used to not eat much, maybe once a day, and she would never finish her food. Even now, I feed them both at the same time and Lenny will gobble up his food, and Tayda will just sit around. Once Lenny is done and is wandering over for Taydas food, she gets up and starts eating. It really seems like she only eats so that he doesn't get her food.
